Upon getting home we noticed that someone had left a shelving unit in the dustbin passage by our house. The pleasantly proportioned wood frame was just right for our evil purposes so we took it inside to dry off for the next bonfire.
Then we started on the real job of the day: the tinsellectomy. This meant we had to clear the floor of all the wooden train track, the lego train track, the ornamental solidified glass drips of all nations, the coats, shoes, cardboard boxes etc.
Then, just as we were sorting out bauble bags and tinsel bags and the box for the trees, PopsMum arrived with Pops and Baby Edward in tow.
Pops helped me de-tinsellate my bedroom while PopsMum helped him deconsecrate the playroom while Edwardos wandered around eating an apple. The whole apple, core and all. Eventually we were finished and the room was clear, as was our next move. We got Box #6 (see "Cardboard: Joy of Box" link on the right of your screen.....) back out again, lined up all the lego on it, got the train track out again, played balloon keepy-uppy....
